What is the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)?

Every child is an individual and deserves the best possible start to life. EYFS is a framework that supports this belief. 

• EYFS sets standards for the learning, development and welfare of children aged 0-5 years.
• It’s a fun and flexible framework that’s focused around seven areas of learning and development.
• It explains the skills; knowledge and understanding children must learn to support their healthy development.
• It helps very young children acquire the skills they’ll need to learn at school and beyond.
• It encourages learning through indoor and outdoor play, discovery and other activities that stimulate and entertain your child.

We at Little Regent Nursery follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and offer a broad and balanced curriculum that is in line with and encompasses all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
